Actual Customer Feedback: ""I recently concluded the Halford / Iron Maiden world tour with the Rock-In-Rio festival in front of 250,000 people. Not bad for a kid and his Metal Method Guitar Lessons. Thanks!” - Mike Chlasciak, guitarist with the band Halford" Testimonial at MetalMethod.com "I've been playing roughly 2 & 1/2 years, and because of getting such a jump start on my playing, largely because of the MM Basic course! I will be attending Musicians Institute - GIT this Fall, I'll soon be putting out two of my own instructional videos through MM, I run my own guitar lesson website, I'm doing a new series of online lessons for Troy Stetina (shredder, musician, instructor extraordinaire!) and I'll be releasing some instructional cd-roms as well! That's all proof that it works extremely well! " Portion of actual user comment at WholeNote.com "I used Metal Method and made way more progress than I could have ever imagined. DVDs are convenient, reasonably priced, and effective. It really feels like Doug Marks is your own personal teacher and he isn't robotic like most of the other DVD instructors" Portion of actual user comment at Ultimate-Guitar.com forum "I finished the first 5 stages of the course and learned more than i ever thought i could about playing the guitar. Having access to the scorch files (which is more or less like a play along tab) so you can speed up and slow down each individual exercise really helps you nail the faster ones with no problem at all. It's amazing to see how far i've come in just 3 months of using this product." Portion of actual user comment at Amazon.com "I am not a metal head, but I bought the whole course, and it was well worth the money. It really will jump start your playing and get you to an advanced intermediate level in about 6 months. It also will give you a fairly good understanding of theory. Not bad for 6 months. However, I have to say, that it is geared to metal/hard rock, so some of the examples and techniques will not apply if you aren't into those styles." Portion of actual user comment at GuitarNoise.com forum If you are primarily interested in playing rock and metal guitar, Doug Marks' Metal Method seems like a good alternative to Learn and Master Guitar. If you search for this course online, you only find positive reviews (and that includes the guitar forums with more credible and honest reviews). The only complaint you sometimes hear, is that it focuses primarily on rock and metal and doesn't include many other styles. But that is to be expected if the name of the course is Metal Method. |
