"Just looking at the book, you'll be very disappointed. I was when I first opened the thing... I flipped all the way through to the final sessions and thought it was super basic. Not impressed. But after watching the DVDs and progressing through the sessions, it became clear that the content is all in the DVDs. The booklet is just to give you some exercises or reference info so that you can practice what is taught in the DVDs."

"For the experienced guitarist this may be an expensive refresher course, for the intermediate a good way to take an inventory of your own fundamentals, and for a beginner it is an excellent beginning because he has you playing blues and rock basics right away. If you can afford the cost and you are a beginner, jump in (it is well worth the cost of 10-15 pro shop lessons)."
